Thermal & Aging Performance
Short & long-term aging performance is undertaken in a variety of thermal chambers, the smallest of which sits on a benchtop, & the largest of which can accommodate 20 full sized instrument panels.
Thermal aging may be used to accelerate service life testing, or as a means to assess the performance of components after exposure to high temperatures (such as direct solar loading or paint refinishing.)
Low temperature performance can also be assessed down to -65ÂșC in a number of standard & special-purpose chambers.
Humidity & moisture aging is also available possible, & we have a purpose built Infra-red chamber with which we undertake solar loading tests.
Performance assessments can be made before & after thermal exposure (such as appearance, colour & gloss change,) & additionally, some characteristics may also be measured at the maximum anticipated service temperature (rigidity, impact performance etc.)
