Smithers Rapra provides testing services to a wide range of clients with diversely varied requirements, & is committed to giving customer satisfaction through the provision of high quality services. Smithers Rapra is dedicated to ensuring that customer requirements are understood & open communication is maintained. Feedback from our customers is actively encouraged; to improve the services that can be delivered.

UKAS Accreditation

Smithers Rapra is accredited by UKAS both as a testing laboratory certificate number 067 & a calibration laboratory certificate number 0306, in accordance with the recognised International Standard ISO/IEC 17025:2005.

This accreditation covers the operation of a quality management system & demonstrates technical competence for the range of activities specified in our schedules of accreditation.

The schedules bear the same numbers as the certificates & the most recent issues are available from the UKAS website at www.ukas.org.

The 2005 version of the ISO/IEC 17025 standard was aligned with ISO 9001:2000. Testing & calibration laboratories that operate under quality systems accredited by UKAS are also operating in accordance with ISO 9001.

UKAS has an explicit duty to act in the public interest & their accreditation is a demonstration of Smithers Rapra’s competence, impartiality & capability, both in the UK & internationally.

Smithers Rapra is committed to providing independent, high quality accurate testing & analysis services, delivered on time, employing good professional practice. The Smithers Rapra Quality Management System has been constructed to ensure that services are performed in compliance with BS EN ISO/IEC 17025:2005 & is monitored to improve its effectiveness.
